Darren is a consummate professional, plus, he is a complete pleasure to work with! His expertise and knowledge of audio systems and microphone techniques made for a beautifully sounding wedding ceremony from start to finish. He made certain each person who spoke and the vocal group who performed were perfectly miked and comfortable using the equipment. MY EXPERIENCE
Aside from the many sound gigs I work with Encore Audio, I also work on the audio staff at The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield, MA, The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington, MA, and The Gurthrie Center in Great Barrington, MA (owned by Arlo Guthrie). I am also very lucky to work with, and learn from two friends and mentors Don Harris and Bruce Clapper who both have years of experience mixing for many local and national acts. Don runs his own sound company, and is the head audio supervisor at both The Colonial Theater and The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center. Bruce has been Arlo Guthries FOH Engineer for many years and runs sound at both The Colonial Theater and The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center, and often runs FOH sound for David Bromberg and other national acts.

I have experience mixing everything from live bands, solo performers and comedians, to dance companies, ballet and theater. I have provided audio services for Jacobs Pillow Dance Company, Becket, MA, Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield, MA, Jillian's Nightclub in Albany, NY and The Skyline Nightclub also in Albany, NY and many other venues as well.

I have also worked for Live Star Entertainment (who has provided concert productions for The Dixie Chicks, Heart, Bad Company and more) providing audio services for a live documentary video shoot that aired on PBS.

I believe that what sets me apart from others that provide sound for weddings & receptions is my years of diverse experience with live sound. I provide specific equipment and skills that a typical DJ may not own or have the experience to offer you.
